In the UK, we have growing numbers of people living with chronic kidney disease (CKD), with associated morbidity, mortality, inequalities and economic burden.
In this one-hour webinar, in association with KRUK, we will discuss the advances in evidence-based treatments for slowing the progression of CKD and reducing its associated cardiovascular risk. We will cover the concept of cardiovascular-renal-metabolic medicine and think about how CKD sits within this spectrum and how we may work differently in primary care with a "CVRM" approach.
In CKD we have a vital role to play in primary care with much opportunity for quality improvement work through early screening and detection of CKD, having open and honest conversations with our patients about this diagnosis, and active early treatment to slow progression and reduce the associated risks. We will consider the most up-to-date evidence and guidelines in CKD management and discuss a case study to illustrate our thought processes with plenty of time for interaction and reflection on learning.
The webinar will be carried out as an evening session on Tuesday, 13th May 2025, starting at 8 pm and finishing at 9 pm.
You will be able to claim 1 hour of CPD credit for attending this online webinar. A downloadable certificate will be available.
You will be emailed a direct link to view the webinar shortly after registration as well as a reminder the day before the session and you can also view it via the NB Dashboard.
Brilliant in every way! I like attending live when I can, but the on demand service is great, to fit it in with a busy family life.
