Safeguarding vulnerable adults in our care is a vital part of our work, and recent government statistics demonstrate the rising number of cases reported to social care. To help you with this challenging work, join us on the evening of January 20th for a free safeguarding webinar led by our Safeguarding Lead, Dr James Booth and with Dr Rob Walker on the Q&A. They will explore Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) and the crucial role of capacity assessment in everyday clinical practice.
James will guide you through the legal and ethical framework underpinning this area, drawing on RCGP Safeguarding Standards and GMC guidance. Using realistic case scenarios, he will demonstrate how the law and guidance apply in real-life situations, helping you navigate the complex medicolegal, ethical and clinical challenges involved.
There will be plenty of opportunities for questions and discussion with James and Rob, and you will leave with clear, practical safeguarding tools to support you in protecting, caring for and advocating for vulnerable adult patients in both general practice and care home settings.
You will be able to claim 1 CPD credit for viewing this webinar, and a downloadable certificate will be available.
This webinar will take place on Tuesday, 20th January 2026, starting at 8 pm and finishing until 9 pm.
You will be emailed a direct link to view the webinar shortly after registration, as well as a reminder the day before the session, and you can also view it directly via the NB Dashboard.
Brilliant in every way! I like attending live when I can, but the on demand service is great, to fit it in with a busy family life.
